With only 10 days left until the end of June, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has unveiled the bank holiday schedule for July 2023.
In the upcoming month, banks will be closed for approximately 15 days, including the second and fourth Saturdays as well as Sundays.
However, it’s important to note that specific bank holidays may vary across different zones.

Bank Holidays in July:
1) Sunday, 2 July: The first bank holiday of the month will be observed nationwide, resulting in the closure of banks across the country.
2) Tuesday, 5 July: On the occasion of Guru Hargobind ji’s birth anniversary, banks in the Jammu and Srinagar zones will remain closed.
3) Wednesday, 12 July: Banks in the Mizoram Zone will be closed in observance of MHIP Day.
4) Saturday, 8 July: The second Saturday of July will bring about a bank holiday nationwide.
5) Sunday, 9 July: Since it falls on a Sunday, banks across the country will remain closed.
6) Tuesday, 11 July: Banks in the Tripura zone will not operate due to Ker Puja.
7) Thursday, 13 July: On account of Bhanu Jayanti, banks in the Sikkim Zone will remain closed.
8) Sunday, 16 July: Banks will be closed nationwide on this particular Sunday.
9) Monday, 17 July: Banks in Meghalaya will observe a holiday in honor of U Tirot Sing Day.
10) Friday, 21 July: Banks in the Gangtok Zone will remain closed for Drukpa Tse-Zi.
11) Saturday, 22 July: The fourth Saturday of July will result in a bank holiday across the country.
12) Sunday, 23 July: As it falls on a Sunday, banks will not be operational on this day.
13) Saturday, 29 July: Muharram will be observed as a bank holiday nationwide.
14) Sunday, 30 July: Similar to other Sundays, banks will remain closed.
15) Monday, 31 July: In Haryana and Punjab, banks will be closed to commemorate the day of martyrdom.
