Countless farmers eagerly anticipate the 14th installment of this scheme. However, the central government has recently introduced several crucial changes that farmers need to be aware of.
Thus far, farmers have received benefits through 13 installments. Notably, the government has made significant updates to the PM-Kisan portal.

- Beneficiary Status:
To begin with, there is a change in how the beneficiary status is viewed on the PM-Kisan portal. Now, it is mandatory to provide the registration number.
In case you don’t know your registration number, simply click on the “Know Your Registration Number” link. This action will direct you to a page where you can enter your mobile number or Aadhaar number and complete the captcha code.
By doing so, you will obtain your registration number. Next, click on “Beneficiary Status” on the portal, enter your registration number and captcha code, and click on “Get Data” to retrieve your status.
- Spelling Correction:
In case of any name discrepancies in the submitted form leading to the non-availability of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi benefits and stalled installments, farmers can now rectify the errors on the portal.
To make the necessary corrections, click on “Name Correction as Per Aadhaar.” A new page will open, where you can enter your registration number and captcha code.
Then, input the name as it appears on your Aadhaar card in the provided space on the subsequent page.
- PM-Kisan Mobile App:
Previously, information related to the PM-Kisan scheme was accessible only through the internet portal. However, farmers can now conveniently access PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi via the mobile app.
To avail this feature, farmers can download the PM-Kisan Mobile App on their smartphones.
The portal itself provides a link to the PM-Kisan Mobile App, or alternatively, farmers can directly download it from the Google Play Store. After installation, farmers can enroll on the app using their Aadhaar details.
- Farmers Corner:
The PM-Kisan scheme portal also introduces a Farmers Corner, which encompasses a new feature.
If farmers wish to opt-out of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi or voluntarily surrender their benefits, they can click on “Voluntary Surrender of PM-Kisan Benefits.” Here, they need to enter their registration number and proceed with the surrender process.
