The electric scooter market is witnessing a surge in competition as new brands enter the scene.
Ola Electric currently dominates a significant portion of the market, but other companies are striving to capture their share.
The latest contender is Komaki Electric Scooters, which has recently unveiled its upgraded SE electric scooter range.
Direct Competition with Ola S1 and S1 Pro
Komaki’s SE electric scooters will directly compete with Ola’s popular models, the S1 and S1 Pro.
The company aims to stand out by offering enhanced safety features and increased range in their updated scooter models.
The Komaki SE range includes the Eco, Sport, and Sport Performance variants, each with its unique set of features.
Price and Specifications
The Komaki SE Eco is priced at Rs 96,968, the SE Sport at Rs 1,29,938, and the SE Sport Performance at Rs 1,38,427 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
These electric scooters utilize Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePo4) batteries with built-in fireproof protection.
Charging the battery fully takes approximately 3-4 hours.
Features and Range
All three Komaki SE electric scooters come equipped with LED DRLs, LED headlights, and LED turn indicators for improved visibility. Dual disc brakes and keyless operation ensure safety for riders.
The scooters feature a powerful 3000-watt hum motor.
Notable advanced features include cruise control, park assist, reverse mode, TFT screen, navigation, calling functionality, anti-skid technology, and keyless entry.
Additionally, these scooters offer a generous 20-litre boot space.
The SE scooters feature three ride modes: Eco, Sport, and Turbo. In terms of range, the SE Eco provides a range of 75-90 km,
the SE Sport offers 110-140 km, and the SE Sport Performance delivers an impressive range of 150-180 km.
The top speeds vary across the models, with the SE Eco reaching speeds between 55 and 60 kmph,
while the Sport and Sport Performance models can achieve speeds between 75 and 80 kmph.
Tough Competition Ahead
Komaki’s SE electric scooters will not only compete with Ola’s S1 and S1 Pro but also face competition from other popular models such as the Ather 450X and TVS iQube.
