April’s data reveals a positive trend in youth employment, as 47% of the newly registered employees under ESIC were aged 25 years and below.

Comprehensive Healthcare Benefits Under ESIC Scheme
Employees covered under the ESIC scheme are entitled to free medical treatment, extending to their dependent family members as well.
Unlike traditional medical insurance, the ESIC scheme has no maximum limit on treatment expenses, ensuring access to quality healthcare without financial constraints.
Maternity Leave and Other Benefits Offered by ESIC
ESIC provides various additional benefits to employees, including maternity leave. Female employees are entitled to 26 weeks of paid maternity leave during childbirth, while six weeks of paid leave is granted in case of a miscarriage.
In the unfortunate event of the insured employee’s demise, ESIC offers a funeral benefit of up to Rs 10,000. Additionally, dependent family members receive a monthly pension in a fixed proportion.

ESIC’s expansion is evident in the registration of 30,249 new establishments in April alone.
With these registrations, the employees of these establishments have been brought under the social security umbrella of ESIC, further widening the coverage and ensuring comprehensive benefits for a larger workforce.
