In a remarkable feat, the nation’s inaugural geared electric motorcycle, Matter Aera, has garnered an impressive 40,000 bookings within a span of just one month.
Interested individuals can secure their bookings either through Matter’s official website or the popular e-commerce platform Flipkart.
The Aera will be available in two variants, namely the 5,000 and 5,000+.
Both variants share the same electric motor and battery, offering customers a similar riding experience.
According to a recent media report, the initial batch of deliveries will be prioritized for those who pre-booked this electric motorcycle.
The Matter Aera boasts an impressive acceleration, capable of reaching 60 kmph in less than six seconds.
The company claims that its 5 kWh battery pack provides a range of approximately 125 km.
Charging the battery to full capacity takes around five hours, while a fast charger can achieve a charge in under two hours.
Mohal Lalbhai, Founder and Group CEO of Matter, expressed gratitude to the motorcycle enthusiasts who have embraced this groundbreaking technology, stating,
“The response to the pre-bookings reflects the growing interest in new advancements.
We appreciate the support of riders who are propelling this significant change.”
The first 9,999 customers to pre-book the Matter Aera will benefit from a special discounted price of Rs 5,000.
To secure a booking, customers are required to pay a nominal amount of Rs 1,999.
Additionally, those who pre-book with an amount ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 29,999 will enjoy a special benefit of Rs 2,500.
Full refunds will be provided in case of cancellations.
Pre-bookings for the MATTER Aera are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, so interested buyers are encouraged to act swiftly.
The starting price for the Matter Aera is Rs.1,43,999.
The company has equipped this electric bike with a liquid-cooled battery and powertrain.
It features a 5-AMP onboard charging system and incorporates a user-friendly touch screen interface.
The Matter AERA 5000 and AERA 5000+ models are equipped with a 10 kW electric motor, which operates in conjunction with a Hypershift 4-speed manual gearbox.
The bike offers four riding modes and is complemented by a 9-Axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
Customers purchasing the electric bike can benefit from a three-year warranty, roadside assistance, as well as AMC and labor coverage.
