Maruti Suzuki, the renowned automobile company, is gearing up to introduce its latest car model in India later this year.
The upcoming vehicle, called Maruti Suzuki Engage, is expected to make its way into the Indian markets in the near future.
This new offering from Maruti Suzuki is a 7-seater MPV that draws inspiration from the popular Toyota Innova Highcross.
In a recent teaser release, Maruti Suzuki confirmed the imminent launch of this new car, scheduled to take place on July 7th.
However, the company has yet to reveal the official name of the car in the teaser.
This highly anticipated car, developed in collaboration between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki, holds great significance.
It shares the same platform and hybrid powertrain as the Innova Highcross. Additionally, the new Engage boasts numerous exciting features.
The car will be sold under Maruti Suzuki’s premium Nexa brand, which is known for offering the company’s most luxurious vehicles.
Leaked images have given us a glimpse of the design and features of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Engage.
The interior resembles a lounge cabin, reminiscent of the Innova Highcross.
Notable features include a three-dot LED daytime running light (DRL) system and the possibility of an Advanced Drive System (ADAS).
The new MPV will feature a distinct honeycomb mesh pattern and an updated grille, with some modifications expected in the front bumper as well.
Under the hood, the Engage will be powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine. The car will offer a CVT transmission option.
Moreover, there is speculation that the vehicle might also be equipped with a TNGA 2.0-liter hybrid petrol engine accompanied by an electric motor.
Maruti Suzuki claims that this strong hybrid powertrain could achieve an impressive mileage of up to 21.1 kmpl.
Pricing for the Engage is expected to be on par with the Innova Highcross, which currently starts at Rs 18.55 lakh (ex-showroom).
