Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has unveiled the highly anticipated off-roader, the Maruti Jimny, with prices starting at Rs 12.74 lakh ex-showroom.
The introductory price positions the Jimny higher than its rival, the Mahindra Thar, priced at Rs 10.54 lakh. The Jimny is now available for purchase from Nexa showrooms, with deliveries commencing immediately.

- Zeta MT variant: Rs 1,274,000 (ex-showroom)
- Zeta AT variant: Rs 1,394,000 (ex-showroom)
- Alpha MT variant: Rs 1,369,000 (ex-showroom)
- Alpha AT variant: Rs 1,489,000 (ex-showroom)
- Alpha MT (Dual Tone) variant: Rs 1,385,000 (ex-showroom)
- Alpha AT (Dual Tone) variant: Rs 1,505,000 (ex-showroom)
Key Features and Color Options: The Maruti Jimny comes equipped with various features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
It is available in five monotone and two dual-tone color options, including Granite Grey, Nexa Blue, Bluish Black, Pearl Arctic White, Sizzling Red, Kinetic Yellow with Black Roof, and Sizzling Red with Black Roof.
Performance and Specifications: Built on a ladder frame chassis, the Jimny is powered by a 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine, producing 103bhp and 134Nm of torque.
It is available with a five-speed manual transmission and a four-speed torque converter transmission.
The Jimny features the AllGrip Pro 4×4 system, providing enhanced off-road capabilities.
Notably, India is the first market to introduce the 5-door version of the Jimny, which has not been available in any other global market where only the 3-door variant is offered.
