Vodafone-Idea, the third largest telecom service provider in India, has made significant modifications to two of its popular prepaid plans.
Vi, the brand under which Vodafone-Idea operates, has decided to shorten the validity of its Rs 99 and Rs 128 prepaid plans.
The telecom service provider has reduced the validity of both plans by 13 days, as reported. Let’s delve into the details.
Vodafone Idea Prepaid Plan: Rs 99
The Rs 99 prepaid plan offered by Vodafone-Idea will now have a validity of 15 days instead of the previous 28 days.
However, there have been no changes to the other benefits provided in this plan. Users will continue to enjoy 200MB data and Rs 99 worth of talk time as before.
Regarding the Rs 128 plan, the company initially provided a validity of 28 days. However, the revised plan will now be valid for 18 days.
Consequently, the daily cost of the plan has increased to Rs 7.11, compared to the earlier rate of Rs 4.57.
The plan includes 10 local on-net night minutes and charges 2.5 paise per second for all local and national calls.
The night minutes benefit is applicable from 11 pm to 6 am, and subscribers will be charged 50 paise for 1MB of data usage.
It’s important to note that the reduced validity applies to these plans in the Mumbai circle, but Vi plans to implement the changes in more areas soon.
In addition to the modifications in prepaid plans, Vodafone-Idea has introduced an offer of 6GB free data for its customers.
To avail this offer, users need to sign up for the Hungama Gold trial membership through the Vi app, which costs Rs 108 for a three-month period.
