New Delhi: Google Pay, the popular digital payment platform, has taken a significant stride towards enhancing user convenience by introducing a new feature.
Now, users will have the option to make UPI payments through their RuPay credit cards via Google Pay.
This new facility has been made possible through Google Pay’s partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), expanding the platform’s payment capabilities.
Notably, Google Pay supports UPI payments through a range of credit cards from leading banks, including Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, Canara Bank, HDFC Bank, and others.
The seamless process of linking a credit card to Google Pay ensures that users can quickly take advantage of this feature.
To link a RuPay credit card on Google Pay, users need to follow a straightforward process.
First, open the Google Pay app and navigate to the profile section. From there, select the “RuPay Credit Card Pay with UPI” option.
Next, choose the respective bank associated with the credit card and create a UPI PIN. With these steps completed, the RuPay credit card will be successfully set up on Google Pay.
Making payments with Google Pay using the newly linked credit card is equally hassle-free.
Users can enter the UPI number or scan the QR code, specify the desired amount to transfer, and select the RuPay credit card as the payment method.
Finally, the payment can be completed by entering the UPI PIN, ensuring a secure and seamless transaction experience.
The introduction of UPI payment functionality with credit cards on Google Pay expands the versatility of the platform, making it an even more comprehensive and user-friendly digital payment solution.
This service was first introduced in 2022, allowing users to make payments by scanning the merchant’s QR code.
