Bajaj Avenger 220 Street Set to Make a Comeback with Exciting Upgrades

Bajaj Auto is gearing up to reintroduce the popular ‘Street’ variant of the Bajaj Avenger 220, which was discontinued in early 2020.

The company plans to launch the new Avenger 220 Street soon, alongside the existing 220 Cruise model.

As part of its design, the Avenger 220 Street will draw inspiration from the successful Avenger 160 Street. Enthusiasts can expect two striking color options, namely Spicy Red and Ebony Black.

The forthcoming Avenger 220 Street will boast a round-shaped headlamp, LED daytime running lights (DRL), a stubby exhaust, and a fully digital instrument cluster.

Powering this cruiser motorcycle will be the same tried-and-tested 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel-injected DTS-i engine found in the 220 Cruise.

With this engine, riders can enjoy a maximum power output of 18.76 bhp at 8,500 RPM and a peak torque of 17.55 Nm at 7,000 RPM. The engine will be paired with a 5-speed gearbox for smooth shifting and enhanced control.

While the official launch of the 2023 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street is yet to take place, reports suggest that the motorcycle has already started reaching Bajaj dealerships across the country.

The expected ex-showroom price for the new Avenger 220 Street is around Rs 1.42 lakh, on par with the 220 Cruise.

In terms of market competition, the Bajaj Avenger series remains unrivaled in its category, offering a unique proposition for cruiser motorcycle enthusiasts in India.

The relaunch of the Avenger 220 Street signifies Bajaj Auto’s commitment to meeting the evolving demands of riders who seek style, performance, and comfort in their motorcycles.

With its enhanced features and impressive powertrain, the new Avenger 220 Street is set to captivate riders once again and redefine the cruising experience.
