Ration Card Holders Rejoice: Government Decides to Provide Ration for Two Months

If you hold a ration card, here’s some uplifting news for you. The government has made the decision to distribute ration for two months within the month of May.

This double ration distribution will take place on two separate dates through the government’s affordable grain shops.

The Haryana government will distribute sugar, wheat, and rice to a total of 31,87,107 card holders in the state for both the months of April and May.

The ration distribution process has been ongoing since January. Ration for April is currently being distributed through depots, and the distribution for May’s ration is scheduled for around May 20.

Following the implementation of the family identity card in Haryana, challenges arose regarding the distribution of one month’s ration.

As a result, the ration for January was distributed in February, February’s ration in March, March’s ration in April, and now the ration for April is being distributed in May.

Additionally, the government plans to distribute the ration for May on May 20, providing double ration support to beneficiaries in May.

The Food Supply Department of Haryana will distribute wheat and sugar to 31,87,107 card holders in May.

Applications for 26,259 kg have been received from Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) card holders, and 20.64 lakh kg of ration has been allocated for May for State Below Poverty Line (SBPL) card holders.

Similarly, an allocation of 19.28 lakh kg of wheat has been made for AAY card holders and 3.40 crore kg for SBPL card holders in May.

Ration card holders can now look forward to receiving double ration support from the government, ensuring essential supplies for the months of April and May.
