Indian Railways announces New Summer Special Train from Mumbai to Samastipur

According to the latest news from Indian Railways, the Central Railway announced on Thursday that it will introduce summer special trains connecting Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to Samastipur in Bihar.

The move is aimed at reducing the passenger rush during the summer holiday season.

As per the railway timetable, the train will operate six days a week, with six trips in each direction.

Summer special trains: Check timing and date 

The summer special train with number 01043 will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on six Thursdays, namely May 4, 11, 18, 25, and June 1 and 8.

It will make a stop at Itarsi at 12:15 PM before arriving at Samastipur at 9:15 pm on the same day.

On the other hand, train number 01044 will commence from Samastipur on six Fridays, May 5, 12, 19, 26, and June 2 and 9.

It will halt at Itarsi at 7:55 pm and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 07:40 am on the third day of its journey.

Summer special trains: Check facilities 

Indian Railways has stated that the new summer special train running between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Samastipur will feature 22 modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches that are designed to provide enhanced comfort and safety during travel.

Out of the total 22 coaches, six will be air-conditioned third-class coaches, six will be sleeper class coaches, and eight will be general class coaches.

The train will also have one SLRD (seating cum luggage rake) coach and one generator car, ensuring a continuous power supply throughout the journey.

Summer Special Train: Routes

According to Indian Railways, the train will make stops at Kalyan and Igatpuri before reaching Nashik Road.

In Madhya Pradesh, the train will halt at Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Jabalpur, and Katni.

Additionally, the train will also stop at Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chhivki, Pt.

Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, and Arrah stations in both directions.

More Summer Special Trains

Before this, Indian Railways had initiated numerous summer special trains to manage crowds systematically, making it convenient for both the Railways staff and the general public.

Some of the summer special trains include the Gorakhpur to Lokmanya Tilak (05018) Festival Special Train and Lokmanya Tilak to Prayagraj Special (02129), among others.
