PM Rozgar Mela: PM Modi to Create 70,000 New Jobs with Appointment Letters Distribution

Rozgar Mela 2023: According to officials, the central government is determined to fill job vacancies across its various ministries and is actively working towards this goal.

The next edition of the Rozgar Mela will be held on May 16 in 22 states, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute over 70,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals through video-conferencing as part of this employment drive.

The Rozgar Mela scheme, which was launched by the Prime Minister in October of last year, will hold its latest edition on May 16 at 45 centres.

According to officials, this date has been chosen to commemorate the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s victory in the 2014 general elections.

As the current government’s tenure will come to an end in the near future, the recruitment process is expected to be accelerated in the coming days.

In the first Rozgar Mela, which took place on October 22, 2022, appointment certificates were presented to 75,000 new recruits.

The second job fair took place on November 22, 2022, during which roughly 71,000 appointment letters were distributed.

The third and fourth editions were held on January 20 and April 13, respectively, and a similar number of appointment letters were handed out during both events.

According to officials, all ministries and departments are actively working to fill existing vacancies through a “mission mode” approach.

Union ministers are personally overseeing the appointment and vacancy filling processes in each ministry, as per their statements.

The appointments that have been made during the previous job fairs include a variety of positions such as Central Armed Police Force personnel, inspectors, sub-inspectors, constables, clerks, stenographers,

personal assistants, income tax inspectors, tax assistants, junior engineers, loco pilots, technicians, postal assistants, assistant professors, teachers, and librarians, among others.

Additionally, the officials mentioned that the Ministry of Home Affairs is filling a substantial number of positions across various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

Recruitment for these positions is being conducted through established recruiting agencies such as the UPSC, SSC, and the Railway Recruitment Board.

The selection procedures have been simplified in order to expedite the recruitment process.
