Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 12th Vande Bharat Express on the Secunderabad-Tirupati route in the presence of Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
This newly launched train is the second Vande Bharat Express in Telangana and is specifically aimed at enhancing connectivity for pilgrims visiting the Tirupati temple.
Additionally, the PM will also launch India’s 13th Vande Bharat Express on the Chennai-Coimbatore route today.
By reducing travel time, the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express is anticipated to enhance connectivity between the states.
It is projected that the train will cover a distance of 660 kilometers between the two cities in 8 hours and 30 minutes.
The train is scheduled to depart from Secunderabad at 11:30 am and make ten stops along the way before reaching Tirupati Railway Station at 9 pm, marking the end of its journey.
Similar to previous Vande Bharat Express trains, the Secunderabad-Tirupati train is designed to operate six days a week between the two cities.
The ticket price for the Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20701) from Secunderabad to Tirupati is Rs 1680,
which comprises Rs 364 for optional catering and Rs 3080 for Executive Class, which includes catering charges of Rs 419. Meanwhile, the fare for Train No.
20702 Vande Bharat Express will be Rs 1625 in Chair Car along with Rs 308 for catering charges, and Rs 3030 in Executive Cars with Rs 369 for catering charges.
Vande Bharat Express is poised to strengthen its position in India in the coming days.
As per reports, the train will be introduced on several other routes, such as Jaipur to New Delhi, New Jalpaiguri to Guwahati, and Udhampur to Srinagar and Baramulla.
