According to TASS, Deputy Foreign Minister Evgeny Ivanov had previously announced that Russia is also making arrangements for intergovernmental agreements that allow visa-free travel with 11 countries, which include Barbados, Haiti, Zambia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Trinidad.
Since the commencement of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine a year ago, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives and displacement of millions,
Moscow has been attempting to establish closer relationships with China, India, and African nations.
Although the United States, Japan, and the European Union have condemned Russia’s invasion and enforced sanctions, China and India have refrained from doing so.
India adopted a neutral stance and did not hold Russia accountable for the invasion, but at the same time, it significantly increased its procurement of Russian oil.
