Indore:
After the Pravasi Bhartiya Sammelan, Indore’s global image is being shaped differently, and taking this forward, after Dubai, Indore is now connected to Sharjah through direct flight.
From April, flight service will be started from Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport of Indore to Sharjah.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has already announced this. But due to some reason, the flight could not start, but this time the preparations for the flight were going on fast.
According to airport officials, to start the flight, possible slots will have to be taken from both Indore airport and Sharjah airport, and preparations are underway.
Along with this, a plan is also being prepared for the timing of the flight and on which day of the week this flight will take place.
Although. In 2019, Air India was the first to start flights to Sharjah, but suddenly due to getting a slot for Dubai, the flight started there.
After this, there was talk of starting a flight to Sharjah in November 2021, but due to the non-completion of preparations, its date was further extended.
Could not fly even after getting permission
On 10 December 2021, Air India Management asked for permission to fly and got permission to fly twice a week.
Its first flight was also to go from Indore to Sharjah on 20 December 2021, but the flight could not start.
The reason behind this was the lack of aircraft with Air India. On 24 December 2021, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also tweeted that Air India would operate a flight from Indore to Sharjah from 27 March 2022, but the flight could not start.
Now its need was felt during Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan and Global Investor Summit, so preparations are being made to start this flight.
