Ola and Uber to discontinue it’s Services in THIS Indian City: See Why?

Many Ola and Uber customers will be in for a shock. Cab service is getting affected in an Indian city.

Today, i.e., from February 1, this service will be stopped in Guwahati of North East.

All Assam Cab Mazdoor Sangh and All Guwahati Bike and Taxi Union have taken the decision to stop cab and bike service.

Both unions alleged that the cab drivers are being harassed continuously by the cab aggregators.

For this reason, this decision was taken. It was told in a press conference that the company’s cab service is misleading and drivers are exploited for a long time.

Service started in 2015

According to the report of The Meghalayan, it was told by the All Assam Cab Mazdoor Sangh that the service of Ola and Uber was started in Assam in the year 2015.

In the first year, these companies gave good incentives, but the drivers depreciated with time.

The union further informed that 40-60 percent commission was being charged from the cab driver for each trip.

This doesn’t seem right. Apart from this, the dynamic fare is also being taken from the drivers.

If so much commission is given, then they are still waiting. He works 18-20 hours and pays bank installments and other loans.

Impact on Rapido as well

According to the report of Assam Tribune, about 18 thousand cabs under Ola and Uber are currently running on the road.

Apart from this, the Bike Taxi Operators Union is also discontinuing the service of Rapido from February 1. Due to this, 16000 Rapido bike service will be stopped.

Amidst all this, cab and bike drivers have requested the government to launch a new app to continue providing service.

Let us tell you that right now, two local cab operators, Pei India and AM2, will continue to provide their ride service there.
