As soon as a video or photo is downloaded from WhatsApp, it appears in the user’s phone gallery.
Must turn off the setting
You can stop it. That is, the photos and videos of your WhatsApp will not appear in the automatic gallery. For this, you have to make some changes in the settings of WhatsApp.
You have to turn off media visibility. With this, photos and videos will not automatically be saved in your phone gallery. That means it will be downloaded but will not be saved in the gallery.
This feature will work for new media. It will not have any effect on already downloaded photos and videos. You can turn off this feature for individual chats or group chats.
How will the setting be?
For this, you have to open WhatsApp first. You must click on the three dots in the top right corner. Now you have to go to Settings. You will get the option of Chats; click on it.
Here you will get the option of Media Visibility. You can turn it off. You can also turn off this setting for an individual chat or group.
You have to go to a conversation and click on Contact Info. The option of media visibility shown here has to be turned off.
