Hector 2023: MG Motor launches 2023 Hector SUV in India (Check Price)

MG Motor India has launched the new Hector SUV at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023, with prices starting at ₹14.73 Lakh and going up to ₹22.43 Lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The new-gen model recently made its India debut, and you can check out our first look video on CarandBike Hindi’s YouTube channel.

The new MG Hector comes with an aggressive exterior design and redesigned cabin with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) functions.

Apart from this, many new technical features have been given to it.

The Hector has been offered by the company with 5, 6 and 7-seating options and over 75 connected car features and also retains its i-Smart technology.

In terms of design, the 2023 MG Hector now gets a new and more prominent grille which has been heavily used in chrome.

Towards the lower end, the skid plates also get chrome treatment to complement the premium quotient of the car.

Besides that, the vehicle remains broadly similar to the previous model, with the sleek headlamps and DRLs coming with LEDs, while the profile remains unchanged.

At the rear, the SUV gets a new LED connecting strip between the LED tail lamps retained from the older model.

The rear bumper has been redesigned for 2023, and the Hector lettering gets a new location on the tailgate.

As mentioned earlier, the new Hector comes with 11 Level 2 ADAS functions as part of the safety package.

In its new avatar, the SUV gets even more functions like Traffic Jam Assist, which, as the name suggests, helps the car move in traffic without the help of brakes or steering wheel.

It also maintains a safe distance between the cars and holds the middle lane.

Another feature that ensures safety is the automatic turn indicators that light up when changing lanes, even if the hands are not switched on.

Talking about the engine, it remains unchanged in the 2023 MG Hector.

Though the SUV now gets massive changes to keep things fresh in the segment, one thing that remains unchanged is the powertrain options.

The car retains the turbo and naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engine options and opts between manual and automatic transmissions offered earlier.
