Maruti Suzuki India has officially launched the new CNG variant of its famous SUV Grand Vitara for sale in the domestic market today.
This car, sold by Nexa dealerships, has been introduced in a total of two variants, Delta and Zeta, whose price has been fixed at Rs 12.85 lakh and Rs 14.84 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
In the new Maruti Grand Vitara CNG, the company has used a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 103bhp power and 136Nm torque.
Its power output drops slightly in CNG mode, and in CNG mode, this engine generates 87bhp power and 121.5Nm torque.
Only a 5-speed manual transmission engine option is available in this SUV. The company claims that its CNG version gives a mileage of up to 26.6 km per kg.
