Ola will launch EV Cab Station with 10000 Electric Cars

Online cab service giant Ola will add 10,000 electric cars to its fleet. The company said it is currently in the final stages of the trial of electric cars.

Ola will compete with Uber and BluSmart Electric Mobility through its fleet of electric taxis.

Let us tell you that Uber is also trialling a similar project in Delhi-NCR. BlueSmart’s business is currently limited to Gurugram and parts of Delhi and Bengaluru East and South.

In its statement, OLA said top-rating drivers would drive the new fleet.

Along with this, 100% ride assurance will be given after the cab is allotted, there will be zero cancellation fee, and its payment will be 100% cashless.

Issues like high cancellation rates, low ride acceptance rates, and requests from drivers to pay in cash instead of online payments have plagued customers for a long time.

Bhavish Aggarwal said in a statement, “Electrification of the taxi fleet is the next frontier for the online cab industry and a big step towards the future of mobility.

We aim to develop core technologies and products that differentiate us from the rest.

We are re-inventing this segment by improving the driver and customer experience and providing a clean and green mobility option to 500 million Indians.”

Ola said it would launch 1,000 electric cars on the roads of Bengaluru and then expand it.

The facility to book electric cabs will be in a separate category on Ola’s app.

Explain that this differs from Ola Electric’s plan to launch an electric car by 2024.

Bhavish Aggarwal said that the company is on its way to meeting this target as per its plan.

In a statement on August 15 last year, Ola had set a target to produce one million electric cars, 10 million two-wheelers and 100 GWh of battery cells annually.
